On April 14, 2020, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. ages 9 and up can join us as we learn to make jam from scratch! Cook along with us – chop, stir, and simmer as you learn the art and science of preserving fresh fruit! Participants will learn about local berry production, and food preservation techniques. We will put their new-found knowledge and skills to use by making and canning fruit jam and planting their own strawberry plant. The $30 registration fee includes all supplies and materials for jam, strawberry plants and containers, recipes and educational materials.

Reserve your child’s seat today by first completing the class registration and payment at https://youthjamcamp2020.eventbrite.com. Then complete your child’s 2020 4-H Online enrollment at 4HOnline. We also accept cash and check payments in addition to paying via credit card through Eventbrite. Please, make checks payable to NC State University. Checks and cash payments can be received at the Currituck County office, 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917, within 5 days of registration. Class size is limited and full registration, including payment, is required to hold your child’s spot. We will gladly help you complete your online registration.
