After the cold snap we had a couple weeks ago, my lawn has really slowed down its growth. There is really very little to do with the lawn at this point other than keeping it mowed, pulling a few weeds and letting it go dormant for the winter.

If it’s been a couple years since a soil sample was taken, now would be a good time to do that. Taking soil samples every couple of years and keeping a record shows how much the pH might be changing and gives an idea of what kind of nutrients might be needed for the plants for the next growing season.
