4-H Electric Energy   

Currituck County 4-H is hosting a series of workshops starting March 24, 2022 for youth ages 11 to 18. Each of these workshops will provide youth the opportunity to build circuits, learn to solder, create working switches, participate in energy and electric experiments, learn about careers in the energy industry and much, much more. There will also be wind energy and solar energy activities designed to show how energy from wind and sun is collected and used to produce power. Youth that participate in these workshops will also learn about NC 4-H Electric Congress and how to earn the opportunity to attend this exciting, all expenses paid event. 

This is a year long series of activities and events and the first four classes in this series are:

Thursday March 24, 2022 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Thursday April 7, 2022 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Thursday April 21, 2022 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Thursday May 12, 2022 4:30-6:30 p.m.

All sessions will take place at N.C. Cooperative Extension-Currituck County Center, 120 Community Way, Barco NC 27917. There is no charge for this program however registration is required and all participants must be enrolled in 4-H.
