We are delighted to offer another instance of Introduction to Therapeutic Horticulture as an online class beginning May 23, 2022. Students will have access to the course one week before the start date, and for an additional 6 months after the course ends. Seats are limited so be sure to register soon!

This Introduction to Therapeutic Horticulture course is the first in a series of online courses that teach the theory, practice, and profession of Therapeutic Horticulture. Learn to use plants and nature for wellness including physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual needs. A discussion of the profession of therapeutic horticulture, related practices, and ways to pursue further study will conclude the course. This course is suitable for anyone interested in learning more about this unique therapeutic method, including allied health professionals and other practitioners who want to learn how to integrate Therapeutic Horticulture into their own disciplines.

Taught by Sally Haskett, Certified Horticultural Therapist, this 6-week course includes presentations, readings, interactive activities, interviews with practitioners, and virtual tours of programs. A foundational course in Therapeutic Horticulture, the only requirement is internet access for this fully online, self-paced, non-credit course.
