A unique opportunity for a guided tour of a country famous as a global leader in floriculture, this trip includes visits to botanical gardens, arboreta, private gardens, estates, and flower markets, as well as other important historical and cultural sites across four Dutch provinces.. Highlights include Hortus Botanicus Leiden, Keukenhof Estate, Royal Flora Holland, the Museum of the Black Tulip, the Royal Delft Museum, Tropenburg Arboretum, and more, as well as historic sites in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Arnhem.

This trip, like other Extension Gardener Travel Study Adventures, includes a local guide, a local bus driver, and NC Extension professionals (Matt Jones and Leslie Rose) who take care of you every step of the way, and additional expert guides at each destination. Created specifically for gardener, travelers have an opportunity to build relationships across the state and around the world with others passionate about plants.

The groups are intentionally kept small for an exceptional experience. They include all entry fees, hotel rooms, transportation, and most meals. Apply to your county agent for continuing education credits.

Program cost: $4,985 (double occupancy room), $5,895 (single occupancy room). The cost includes all lodging, meals, guides, entrance fees, and transportation within the country, but does not include airfare to Amsterdam.

A $1,000 deposit per person is required to hold your reservation. The deposit is due no later than January 20, 2024, with final payment  due no later than March 16, 2024.

This tour will require a minimum number of 17 tour participants to establish viability.
