Downy mildew is here! Look on the tops of leaves for angular, yellow to brown wounds that stop at a leaf vein.

Management suggestions:
  • Plant early in the season so you can harvest before the disease is present.
  • Water the soil, not the leaves; prevent the leaves from remaining wet for long periods.
  • Scout plants often and remove infected plants.
  • Plant varieties known to be tolerant of Downy Mildew.
