A Vibrant Shout Out to all of the amazing, talented, energetic, generous, enthusiastic Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers across the state!!! In addition to the important work they do in their home counties, many are working on statewide projects as well.

The Extension Gardener Plant Toolbox exists only through the dedication of 104 Extension Master Gardener volunteers in 41 counties across the state who gathered images, wrote descriptions, double-checked the data, and edited the site. There are now 4,466 plant profiles, 124 gardens featured in the gallery, and countless photographs. We had almost 5 million unique page views in 2020.

The Extension Gardener Handbook and Teacher’s Guide evolved into an interactive online version with the careful leadership of many, many volunteers. Some created questions and answers to be integrated into each chapter, others helped to document over 1,000 creative commons licensed photographs, still others edited the text, instructor resources, and the supporting slide decks. Thanks to Extension Master Gardener volunteers, it is now available online through Top Hat.

Online Classes are much better because of the careful attention of Extension Master Gardener volunteers editing, piloting, evaluating, and serving as Teaching Assistants.

Extension Master Gardener volunteers are a gift to the universe. We celebrate their generosity with much appreciation!!!!!!!!!!
