This fully online, asynchronous course is part of a series of Garden and Landscape Courses offered by the North Carolina State University Department of Horticultural Science.

Topics
- Vegetable Gardening: garden types and techniques, garden organization, 4-season vegetable production, succession, seeds, transplants, irrigation, weed and pest management, and harvesting considerations.
- Organic Gardening: principles of organic gardening, fertility management, cover crops, green manure, organic weed control, organic insect and disease control, record keeping.
- Small Fruit Production: strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes, and kiwis.
- Tree Fruit and Nuts Production: site selection, tree selection, planting, nutrient management, mulching, pruning, and training, fruit thinning, pest management, and harvest tips.
